SAN JOSE (CBS SF) – A three-alarm fire that displaced four residents at a San Jose home Wednesday afternoon has been extinguished, a fire captain said.
The fire was reported at 2:06 p.m. in the 2100 block of Ruby Avenue, fire Capt. Cleo Doss said.
The fire was under control at 3:37 p.m., Doss said.
Multiple calls from neighbors came in about a fire outside of the two-story home.

A neighbor knocked on the front door and helped the one resident who was inside safely exit before fire crews arrived, Doss said.
Crews called for a second alarm at 2:17 p.m. and then a third alarm at 2:40 p.m., Doss said.
The fire reportedly started in the backyard area and then spread to the eaves of the home, Doss said.
